Eligibility and registration
You must register with accurate details that match your government identity document. The exam voucher is issued to you personally and is not transferable.
Identity verification and proctoring
Before the exam begins you complete an identity and liveness check using a live photo and a government ID. During the exam your webcam may capture periodic snapshots for proctoring, with a visible indicator while it runs. You must keep your face clearly visible and must not cover, blur, or obstruct the camera. If captures are unclear or the person taking the exam is not the registered candidate, the result is cancelled.
Exam format and timing
The certification exam is practical across web, network, and Active Directory targets. Once your identity is approved, your exam window begins and runs for the stated duration. You capture each flag and document your steps and remediation.
Grading and results
Your work is scored against the published marking rules. If an examiner does not review within the stated window, the system finalises the result automatically against the same rules. You are notified of the outcome, and a detailed analysis is provided.
Conduct
The exam is individual. Sharing challenges, flags, or solutions, or receiving outside help, is prohibited and will cancel your result. This policy is read alongside our Code of Conduct.
Academic integrity
All work submitted during training and examination - quiz answers, lab flags, submitted steps, and remediation write-ups - must be your own. Academic integrity violations include, without limitation: copying or paraphrasing another candidate's submission, sharing or requesting flags/solutions before or during an active exam window, using unauthorized tools to bypass proctoring, and misrepresenting your identity. A confirmed violation results in cancellation of the affected result and may result in a permanent ban from future VaultX certifications.
Certification rules
Certificates are issued to the verified individual only and are not transferable.
A passed certification is valid from the date of issue for the validity period stated on the certificate itself and in your candidate dashboard. VaultX may revoke a certificate at any time if academic integrity is later found to have been violated, if the credential is used fraudulently (for example, misrepresenting VaultX endorsement), or if required by law. Revoked and expired certificates are reflected automatically on the public certificate verification page. Retake eligibility and pricing after a failed attempt follow the re-attempt terms below.
Re-attempts and refunds
If you do not pass, you may re-attempt subject to the re-attempt terms shown at the time. Exam fees are non-refundable once the exam window has started, except where required by law. See our Refund Policy for full terms.
