Overview

What this course covers.

The CCNA program builds real networking competence from the ground up - not just exam answers. You will work hands-on with routers, switches, and live network topologies to understand how traffic actually moves across a network.

By the end of the course, you will be able to design, configure, and troubleshoot small to medium-sized networks, and you will be fully prepared to sit the official Cisco CCNA certification exam.

This course is built for students, IT support staff, and anyone starting a career in networking or infrastructure.

This is a public preview only. Full LMS delivery and progress tracking will be prepared in a later step.

01 Networking Fundamentals 5 lessons
  • Anatomy of a Network How data actually travels: devices, topologies, and the physical/logical layers that make networks work.
  • The OSI & TCP/IP Models, Decoded Map real traffic to each layer so troubleshooting stops being guesswork.
  • Ethernet, Cabling & Physical Layer Copper vs fiber, duplex mismatches, and diagnosing the problems that live below Layer 3.
  • IPv4 Addressing & Subnetting Mastery Subnet on paper and in your head - the exact skill every networking interview tests first.
  • IPv6 for the Modern Network Address types, notation, and why every serious network is migrating now.
02 Network Access & Switching 5 lessons
  • Switching Internals MAC address tables, frame forwarding, and why broadcast storms happen.
  • VLANs & 802.1Q Trunking Segment a flat network into secure, purpose-built zones.
  • Inter-VLAN Routing Router-on-a-stick and Layer 3 switching, configured and verified.
  • Spanning Tree Protocol Kill Layer 2 loops before they take down a network.
  • EtherChannel & Link Redundancy Bundle links for bandwidth and zero-downtime failover.
03 IP Connectivity & Routing 4 lessons
  • Routing Table Deep Dive How a router actually decides where a packet goes next.
  • Static Routing, Configured Right Build predictable paths and troubleshoot when they break.
  • OSPF Single-Area in Practice Stand up dynamic routing that scales beyond static tables.
  • First-Hop Redundancy with HSRP Keep the gateway alive even when a router isn't.
04 IP Services 4 lessons
  • DHCP & DNS, End to End Automatic addressing and name resolution - the services every network silently depends on.
  • NAT in the Real World Translate private networks to the internet without breaking anything.
  • NTP & Syslog for Real Troubleshooting Time-sync devices and read logs like an engineer, not a guesser.
  • QoS Fundamentals Prioritize traffic before congestion becomes an outage.
05 Security Fundamentals 4 lessons
  • Network Threats & Defense-in-Depth What attackers target first, and how layered defense stops them.
  • Access Control Lists, Written Correctly Standard vs extended ACLs, and the mistakes that lock out the wrong traffic.
  • Port Security & Device Hardening Lock down switch ports and close the doors attackers walk through.
  • VPN & Wireless Security Essentials Site-to-site VPN concepts and WPA-secured wireless, explained practically.
06 Automation & Exam Readiness 3 lessons
  • Intro to Network Automation SDN, APIs, and why manual CLI work is being replaced.
  • Full Packet Tracer Lab Review Every topic so far, tied together in one hands-on simulation.
  • CCNA Exam Blueprint & Strategy Exam format, timing, and how to approach the questions that trip people up.
